Just in time for the holidays! This beautiful photo tile necklace is just over an inch in size (without the bail). The sterling bail I use is a little wider to accomodate up to 8mm pearls or other beads. The pendant is two sided and you can choose a cultured pearl accent or Swarvoski crystal accent. I will be listing this necklace on my website this week, so watch for it!

Clay Photo Tiles under water!!????????????

I just wanted to let you know how durable the clay photo tile jewerly I create is! I soaked one of these clay photo tiles in water for 6 days wondering what it would do to the tile...NOT A THING! So when I say my clay photo tiles are waterproof...I do mean waterproof!

I wouldn't suggest doing the same with one you order from me though! The sterling silver and gems would probably not appreciate the water for long periods of time..however it would polish up again as it is solid sterling silver. I'm just telling you so you have peace of mind when you wear it that water will not hurt it and they are beyond durable...so wear it everyday and enjoy your loved ones close to your heart!

I received a fun new toy in the mail yesterday!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A glass circle cutter that will cut circles as small as 3/8 "! They are going to make beautiful photo charms!

Here is a sampling ofthe photo charms I came up with so far. I will be creating some new photo jewelry with these beautiful shaped charms. Watch for them soon!

I also created all of the photo charms shown in the pictures with our new thinner glass for super light weight charms but still very durable!

I just love how this double soldered glass pendant I recently created turned out. Simply stunning! I love how the silver pops with the black background I created, to replace the off white background in the original photograph. The back of the pendants is really fun too. We used a colorful japanese paper and put the initials, birthdate and the Japanese symbol for Godson. Unique and one-of-a-kind!

I truly love creating these little treasures. Each one is so different and unique. You never know when you take the hammer and break a plate what you are going to come up with.

I also love the idea of taking something that once had a purpose and giving it a second life so to say!

A Charming Wedding Gift

I am often asked to do a custom order of something I don't have on my website. As I am almost always up for a challenge, I rarely say no!
I recently had a lady contact me who has a daughter with a wedding coming up in the near future. She had a hanky and wanted to have a picture of her mother who had recently passed on (her daughters grandmother) on the hanky. She asked me if I could help her accomplish this. Of course I took the challenge!
As we chatted we also decided to create a charm of her Mom for her daughter to tie on to her bouquet. What a special way to remember her grandmother on her special day.
As you can see from the picture, I transformed the original image to sepia and took out the cluttered background.
Needless to say the Mom was thrilled with how everything turned out. How excited she must be to give this thoughtful and beautiful gift to her daughter!
This is why I do what I do, and am so thankful this is my job....helping others create family treasures...I'm so lucky!

I just love this new style of photo ornament! Very simple, yet classic. It is double sided to allow you to have two different photos or a photo and a message.

The charm hanging from the bottom is personalized as well. It is a mother of pearl bead with a personalized inscription of "Class of 2008". The message is actually transferred on the charm and glazed with a jeweler's resin.

Finishing off this beautiful ornament are cordinating semi-precious stones and your choice of organza ribbon. Simply stunning.

I love having these little treasures hanging on my cupboard knobs all year long. They are far to precious to wrap up and put away till next Christmas!

I just love how this necklace turned out.

This was a custom order that someone designed exactly the way they wanted it. The necklace was for her mother (her kid's grandma). She took all of her Mom's grandchildren and had me create clay tile charms with their names on the back. Simply Charming!

I love making broken china jewelry. In fact it's quite addicting. It's exciting how something so beautiful transforms from a piece of broken china.

This photo was a piece of china a gal brought me that was very sentimental to her. This is what I created. I loved how it turned out!

I just had to share this keepsake I recently created for a customer. I just loved how it turned out! On the back we put a poem her sister had written for them and on the drop down part, Mr. and Mrs......
She actually sent me the garnet beads (50th Anniversary stone) to incorperate within the design. Simply stunning...I love my job!

A keepsake to treasure

I am often asked to do a custom order. Something that someone has an idea of what they want done but they don't have the means to do it. I am always up for a challenge. Actually some of my best ideas for keepsakes are from my customers!

I have a friend who had a co-worker who was going back to Iraq for a second time. He has a 1 year old baby. She had two pictures of him with his baby and wanted to create something for him to take back to Iraq.

After much consideration, here's what we came up with. We made two sets...one for him and one for his wife.

My friend told me when she gave them the dog tags they cried...I guess they liked them!
